During the day we would hold baby sloths and play with baby monkeys before exploring the town at night or even doing other activities such as surfing and horseback riding. Working at the center allowed me to learn so much about animals while discovering and exploring the culture at night.
Being there for 22 days gave us a great opportunity to not only get to explore the culture but to also make amazing and close friendships with the other students and even the counselors.
When I was preparing for this trip I was excited, but being there and attending this trip was more amazing than I even imagined.
Travel for Teens is how I took my first trip outside the U.S. and I can thank it for sparking my love of travel. The company does a great job of using knowledgeable staff to both show you the best of each destination and teach travel skills so that participants can travel on their own in the future. Whenever someone I know is looking into a summer activity, TFT is the first option I recommend.
Going to Berlin, Paris, and London with Travel for Teens was an amazing experience! I went in to the trip not knowing anybody and never having left the country. Our group got along wonderfully, and the councilors were very helpful and kind. By the end of the trip, I had made several new best friends. The trip itinerary was fantastic. Not only were we able to see tourist attractions, but the activities we did allowed us to experience our destinations like locals. Some of the best experiences came from strolling down streets and wandering through local markets. The accommodations were better than I expected them to be. All the hotels we stayed in were very safe and comfortable. They were also centrally-located, which was nice since we took public transportation. Going on this adventure with Travel for Teens was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this or any other Travel for Teens trip.
This summer I did the Greece Athens and the Islands trip with TFT, and it was some of the best experiences of my life. Everybody on the trip was extremely friendly and enthusiastic, and on only the first day my two roommates and I became instantly close. Even months later, I still talk to them every day, and they’re two of my most valued friends. From falling in love with food I thought I would never like, to the perfect beaches and water, to becoming an expert on Greece, I was provided with unforgettable experiences and long-lasting friendships. Greece is such a unique environment, and Alex and Emma (best trip leaders!) allowed us to make the most of it. I am so happy I decided to take this trip, and could not thank TFT enough for all of their dedication and impact.
Travel for Teens is the best. I absolutely loved my trip that I went on. I had the opportunity to go to England, Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany Switzerland and Spain for a month! We got to explore every city we went to and do stuff that tourists can't do; like go to a private estate in Italy and make lunch with their family and go wine tasting. I loved my counselors and most of the other teens that went on this trip. The itinerary was top notch and great for teens. I learned so much about different cultures in Europe and got to visit some of the most famous places and monuments in the world! I love to travel so much; and Travel for Teens made it possible for me to travel without my parents to Europe. I would definitely recommend Travel for Teens to any teen that loves to travel. It is a great company and I'd love to travel with them again soon!
